MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR DANCERS
Artistic Director Francesco Ventriglia invites dancers to apply for Sydney Choreographic Centre’s inaugural 2022 Mentorship Program for Dancers.
This unique 16-week program offers dancers over the age of 17 the opportunity to develop and hone skills within a company environment, working with and learning from acclaimed choreographers, mentors and Artistic Director Francesco Ventriglia.
The program includes daily class, workshops, masterclasses and mentoring from international artists. It will give dancers an opportunity to work alongside Francesco Ventriglia on the development of several new creations to be performed during 2022.
Participants will work with choreographers taking part in the Centre’s Choreographic Master Program, which runs concurrently with the Mentorship Program. In addition, there will be performance opportunities for the participants during the program, including an invitation to audition for paid performances with Sydney Choreographic Centre’s resident professional performing company, Sydney Choreographic Ensemble. The Ensemble will perform a new work by Francesco Ventriglia in June 2022.
The program, which requires a commitment of approximatey 27.5 hours a week, is available to a limited number of dancers.
Each day may typically include:
Dancers may be accepted into the program at any point during the first 8 weeks, subject to audition (in-person or virtual). Contact info@sydneychoreographiccentre.com for further information.
First Nations artists and artists from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Program Cost: $4,400 including GST pro rata (50% to be paid prior to the 7th February with the remaining 50% paid prior to the 31st March 2022*)
Program Start: 7th February 2022
Daily Schedule: 10am – 3.30pm (including lunch break) Monday to Friday
There may be some requirements for out of hours preparation and rehearsals.

- 2 hour Performance Creation
